Crock Pot Secrets

I learned something today. Not that that's such a great shock...well, maybe it is...but it's a simple concept that really works!

I had a new recipe for cheesy potatoes made in the crock pot. Now everyone knows that cheesy anything burns along the edges of the crock pot. That's just a fact of life. But this recipe said that if you line the sides of the crock pot with parchment paper, the edges would stay creamy. In the best form of "I'm from Missouri, you've gotta show me...", I tested out the recipe. You know what? It actually works! Line the sides of the crock pot with parchment paper, and the edges of cheesy potatoes don't turn brown...they stay creamy! Wow!

Just thought I'd pass this along, in case you didn't know...

Enjoy today...
